How it differs from a regular trading journal
A regular trading journal records trades and shows P&L. TRAID JIM records the process. You log what you did, pick one mistake, and practice one fix before the next. The Performance Score rates that process. It does not rate P&L.
Momentum Model
Trade one playbook at 1 contract and log your mistakes on Daily Report Cards. After 7 trading days, Jim helps you pick the one mistake that matters most and find a solution. Then you practise that solution for 7 trading days, one cycle at a time. You finish once you reach your trade minimum and have 7 trading days with no mistakes.
Daily Report Card
The Daily Report Card is one card for every session you sit, including a day with no trades. Before the session, write one process goal, the actions that make it executable, pre-market reminders, and a temp check: readiness, sleep, and the risk you permit today. Check a session block only if you traded it, then grade that block. At the end of the day, write what you learned, each mistake as what happened, the day overview, and the easiest money trade. The overall grade follows the process goal. Day P&L is shown for context and does not set the grade.
ASSET checklist
The ASSET checklist is filled in before every trade. The letters are Allocation, Setup, Stop, Entry, and Target. Work them in this order: Setup, Stop, Allocation, Target, then Entry. Setup means the playbook setup is there, or there is no trade. Stop comes from market structure and the playbook, not from a fixed dollar amount. Allocation sizes the trade from that stop and the grade (A+, A, B, or C). Target comes from the playbook after stop and size are set. Entry happens only after the other four are done. A fillable PDF and a printable checklist are in the app.
Performance Score
The Performance Score is a process score on five axes: Journaling, ASSET, Sizing, Focus, and Limits. It does not use P&L. Journaling is Daily Report Card coverage and whether trades have a playbook. ASSET is how often the checklist was marked done. Sizing is one-contract size and grade caps. Focus is process language on the card and the active Momentum cycle. Limits is the share of days that stayed inside your risk rules. Journaling, Focus, and Limits need at least 3 trading days. ASSET and Sizing need at least 10 closed trades.
Jim
Jim is the AI coach in the side panel. He coaches process and does not give trade signals. Basic mode needs no API key: Jim answers from rules in the app, and the question is not sent to a provider. Full mode uses an API key you save. Jim then sends your question and journal facts to the provider you choose: Groq, Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, xAI, or Mistral. The free setup in the app creates a Groq key. Google sign-in is the fastest way, and the free Groq plan does not need a credit card. The public demo does not include full mode, and a key cannot be saved there.
Trade import
Using a different platform? Send us a sample CSV export of your trades and we'll do our best to add support for it as soon as possible. Right now, TRAID JIM imports Quantower, Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and Rithmic R Trader Pro CSV files, and you can also add trades manually. On a Rithmic account (ATAS, Sierra Chart, MotiveWave, Bookmap, Jigsaw…), export Fill History from R Trader Pro.
Who it is for
TRAID JIM is for intraday traders and scalpers who want to improve, on prop firm or live broker accounts. It is not for anyone looking for a magic system, or for anyone who wants an AI to trade for them.
What TRAID JIM is not
TRAID JIM is not a broker, not a signal service, and not an investment adviser. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss. It does not guarantee a profit. It does not guarantee that you will pass a prop firm challenge. Jim can be wrong. Do not treat his answers as instructions to trade. The app is in free beta, and no credit card is required. You can export your journal or delete your account in Settings.
The Momentum Model, the Daily Report Card, and the ASSET checklist in TRAID JIM are inspired by ideas from SMB Capital. TRAID JIM is not affiliated with or endorsed by SMB Capital.
